March Hoops to Beat Blindness
March Madness is right around the corner and that means its March Hoops to BEAT Blindness (MHBB) time of year! Be sure to mark your calendars for March 20 & 21 to join UM’s own Myron Hepner at Pizza House in Ann Arbor where he will be watching all 32 games of the first round of the NCAA Tournament as part of the MHBB event in support of the University of Michigan Kellogg Eye Center.
March Hoops to BEAT Blindness is an annual event held to support research that will help treat and prevent blinding conditions at the University of Michigan Kellogg Eye Center. It was inspired by Myron’s son, Brendan’s, battle with retinoblastoma (a form of cancer in the eye).
This year there will also be a special pre-tournament Bracket Science night on Tuesday, March 18 from 6:30-9:30 at The Wolverine State Brewing Co. in Ann Arbor where a percentage of proceeds will be donated to March Hoops to BEAT Blindness. Local expert and author of BracketScience.com, Pete Tiernan, will offer his insights into the NCAA Tournament to help you build a better bracket!
