Introduction to Screencasting
Screencasts are digital video captures of anything you're doing on your computer screen. You can record a video of activity on your computer to illustrate problems you're having to your IT department or a tech-savvy friend for help, create a video tutorial to answer a question or teach someone how to use a database, website, or software program, narrate photos, provide directions to a location using an online map and a USB microphone. This hands-on workshop will introduce you to screencasting and the basics of using Jing, a free software program that allows both PC and Mac users to record still images and videos with naration of anything on their computer screens.
