We Can All Change the Story: A Celebration of Hope

Doors open at 7; concert begins at 8 at The Michigan Theater

Our April 8th event will bring together students, faculty, staff, and community members (free of charge) to celebrate hope, resiliency, and connectedness–the protective factors that are most effective in preventing deaths by suicide.

The event will feature:
Mr. John Bommarito from Ann Arbor radio station 107 one, who is very supportive of our efforts, has agreed to lend his talents and will serve as the event emcee

UM Student Groups -- musical artists, dancers, and poets who are supportive of mental health and preventing suicide in our student community

Featured artist will be Mr. Stephen Kellogg, who has participated with other initiatives related to student mental health, and has generously donated his time and talent to the support of our initiative (http://www.stephenkellogg.com/home)

Local artist YRLK have also donated their talent and support (http://yrlk.com/)

Speakers who have been impacted by student mental health concerns and suicide -- former UM student and starting football player Will Heininger who has been featured on an ESPN documentary, and Miss Michigan - Ms. Haley Williams

A Call to Action which will provide the map for us all to join together in student suicide prevention at UM

A Showcase in the Michigan Theater lobby immediately prior to the event featuring efforts across campus
