Free Throat Cancer Screening
Throat cancer can take away your voice, your jaw and your ability to swallow food, but it also can be treated if caught early enough.
In an effort to do just that, the University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center, the U-M Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and the U-M MHealthy Tobacco Consultation Service & Alcohol Management Program will offer free throat cancer screenings by appointment on Saturday, April 26. The event, which coincides with Oral, Head and Neck Cancer Awareness Week, will also offer smoking cessation counseling and other resources and information about throat cancer.
