Detroit native Gabe Bolkosky has performed across the U.S. and abroad, most notably at Carnegie Hall in 2008 in the premiere of Fredric Rzewski's "Natural Things". At U-M, he earned a bachelor's degree in violin performance and a master's in chamber music, as well as studying improvisation at the master's level. Bolkosky has worked with young musicians in most of the 50 states as well as parts of Asia. Pianist Michele Cooker has appeared on PBS and live broadcasts for WFMT radio in Chicago and the CBC in Canada. She teaches piano at the Kerrytown Concert House and is a member of the Board of Directors. Together Bolkosky and Cooker present a stylistically varied program with informative and fun commentary from the stage.
