Scott Hartley, Mitchell Wechsler, Becky Gawron, Kurt Civilette and Phillip Bloomer make up the Ann Arbor Symphony Brass Quintet. Each of them has an impressive body of experience teaching and performing in Southeast Michigan and beyond. You may hear them playing with the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra or the Symphonies of Detroit, Grand Rapids, Flint, Saginaw Bay, Kalamazoo, Adrian or Toledo. Together, the members of the A2SO Brass Quintet take classical music off the concert stage and into area schools, giving thousands of students each year their first taste of classical music. This concert is part of the UMHS Summer Courtyard Concert Series presented by Gifts of Art.
