Stamps Alumni Exhibition Unintended Consequences

Exhibition Opening Reception

Luminous abstractions, a large scale installation commenting on drone strikes, portraiture, sculpture, video, and more...

Join us Friday, July 18th from 6 - 8 pm at Slusser Gallery for the opening reception of Unintended Consequences, the 2014 Stamps Alumni Exhibition.

On view at Slusser Gallery and Work: Ann Arbor from July 14 - August 2, the show features a broad range of creative work selected by respected and well-known Detroit Institute of Arts curator, Rebecca Hart. Over 170 Stamps School alumni personally interpreted the theme and submitted a work for consideration. According to juror Rebecca Hart, the 68 pieces selected for exhibition feature "artists who invite uncertainty into their practice by giving full voice to studio invention and those who engage in wider issues by creating art that serves as a platform for a wide range of concerns from the very personal to the overtly political."

For more information and an online catalog of all work submitted to the exhibition, please visit the 2014 Alumni Exhibition page.
