There is a National Equality March on October 11th in Washington D.C. Many would like to go, but are unable to. Because of this, Relate, a multiethnic and multicultural organization at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, is spearheading the organizing for a National Equality Rally in Ann Arbor.
The purpose of the National March and the rally here in Ann Arbor is to call for full equality before the law in all fifty states for persons who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and/or queer. This rally is not about Relate or about the U-M campus; it is about every LGBTQ person in this nation who is not guaranteed due protection and equal rights.
