We will read and discuss introductory Buddhist Dharma (teachings), including "Dana," the practice of giving, "The life of the Buddha," as recorded in the Sutta Pitaka of the Pali Cannon (Tipitaka); six elements of a healthy Buddhist practice; the four Noble Truths; the Noble Eightfold Path; Karma and Satipatthana. You will also learn how to find an appropriate Buddhist teacher and ways to authenticate that he/she is authentic. We will talk about developing mindfulness and discuss lots of your own questions and contributions.
