This Veterans Day, join the Michigan Law Veterans Society (MILVETS) for its first annual Veterans Day Program. This year, MILVETS is proud to present James W. Houck , Vice Admiral, U.S. Navy (Retired). Admiral Houck graduated from the University of Michigan Law School in 1985 and then served the United States as a Navy JAG officer. His 32-year military career culminated as the 41st Judge Advocate General (JAG) of the Navy. As the Navy JAG, Admiral Houck was the senior military legal counsel in the Department of the Navy and provided legal counsel to the Secretary of the Navy and Chief of Naval Operations. He also led the 1300 attorneys and 1000 support personnel of the worldwide Navy JAG Corps. He now serves as Interim Dean of Penn State Dickinson School of Law, where he has also taught National Security Law and International Law.

Admiral Houck will speak on current military and national security law issues and the contributions of and challenges facing veterans today. Please join us. Food will be provided for the first 100 attendees.
