Energy Fest Keynote Speaker Bill Weihl
Inventing a Clean Energy Future at Google
One cheap answer to controling greenhouse gas emissions to avoid catastrophic climate change is to consume less energy. The Climate Savers Computing Initiative (CSCI), co-founded by Google with U-M as a key founding member, is working to cut the energy consumed by computers in half by 2011. Weihl will discuss CSCI and other green activities at Google, and suggest some things that businesses, governments, universities, and other institutions and individuals can do to help.
