Hal Korn Final Friday, Infusing action into counseling sessions through experiential and adventure tools and techniques
Presenter: Professor M. Antonio Alvarez, MSW, LMSW,
University of Michigan School of Social Work
In the last few years, more practitioners have infused their practice
with adventure and experiential methods, techniques and tools. In
light of this development, this workshop is designed to help move this
process along. This 1.5-hour workshop will quickly familiarize
participants with an adventure–based therapy model and demonstrate its
use in actively engaging clients around a variety of therapeutic
issues. This workshop will be valuable for professionals who work with
clients who may need hands-on experience and modeling of how to
incorporate adventure activities into their practice.
