This popular class will be held again to describe how science informs us about our world. We will read and discuss the special iIlustrated edition of the title book by Bill Bryson which traces the development of the universe, the growing diversity of life, and the arrival of human beings and society. This book provides a rare chance to learn the fundamentals of science in friendly and simple terms. Please read the first 83 pages for the first class. The discussion leader is Marlin Ristenbatt, retired electrical engineer and science enthusiast. Dick Chase, a career physicist, will be our guest expert.
