Born in Lyon, France, Thibaudet began piano studies at age five and entered the Paris Conservatory at age 12 to study with Aldo Ciccolini and Lucette Descaves, a friend and collaborator of Ravel. Considered one of the great pianists of our time, he has been praised by the press as “a musical treasure of this age.” His absolute artistry, virtuosity, and charisma will be on display in Hill Auditorium just a few days before his Carnegie Hall recital.
