The Psalmists is an outstanding vocal ensemble comprised of accomplished soloists from the greater Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti community. Their soul-stirring blend of traditional melodies, combined with contemporary harmonies, make them among the most sought after soloists in southeastern Michigan. Audiences will be thrilled and blessed by their intensely spiritual interpretations of gospel music, which will be rendered in diverse song styling. The concert will include traditional repertoire written by such gospel legends as Edwin Hawkins, Andre Crouch and James Cleveland. The soloists are Hazelette Crosby-Robinson, Gregory Eberhardt, Doristine Evans and Stephanie Rose Smith, with piano accompaniment by Marvin Lockhardt.
