Commencement is a milestone—one of life’s landmark occasions, a time when graduates, family members, and friends gather to celebrate past and future.
At the University of Michigan, Spring Commencement is a festive, campus-wide event at which graduates are recognized and honorary degrees are conferred. At this large, spirited ceremony, graduates do not walk across the stage, but are recognized in their school or college groups. Separate graduation ceremonies are held at the University’s Ann Arbor, Dearborn and Flint campuses.
The 2015 Spring Commencement speaker for the Ann Arbor campus will be announced in late March and posted on this site, along with a complete list of honorary degree recipients.
It’s our goal to make this a truly memorable day for you—and those who supported you along the way. If you have any questions or concerns that aren’t answered on this site, please contact the Office of University and Development Events at springcommencement@umich.edu or (734) 647-7900.
