A Mindfulness Book Reading
Managing persistent pain
Can mindfulness live up to the claims that science makes about it’s healing powers? Is it really as effective as conventional medicine in treating chronic illness and pain? Vidyamala Burch thinks so. Burch, founder of the internationally acclaimed Breathworks, knows the agony of trying to live with persistent pain. She knows the despondency of not coping and feeling helpless and hopeless. She also knows the joy and pleasure of finding a way to not only manage her pain but to live a full, happy, and meaningful life. We’ll examine these claims and judge their validity. Our book will be "Mindfulness For Health" by Vidyamala Burch and Danny Penman. We will discuss the book and support our discussions with readings and videos.
