In anticipation of their new album to be released May 4, 2010, Broken Social Scene will be performing a concert in Ann Arbor, MI brought to you by University of Michigan student-run concert committee New Beat Happening. Broken Social Scene, renowned indie rock group from Toronto, has performed at festivals and shows around the world. The band's core members, Kevin Drew and Brendan Canning, have performed and recorded alongside other rising stars including Leslie Feist, Metric's Emily Haines, and Stars' Evan Cranley. Their experimental sound and structure is orchestrated for a large number of instrumentals, and is occasionally described as ”˜baroque pop.' In their live performances, Broken Social Scene exhibits the intricate production and powerful delivery that characterizes their music. - Tickets are $16.50/$19.50 at MUTO with valid UMID. Student-only presale runs 3/8-3/13, and tickets go on sale to the public via Ticketmaster.com starting 10am on 3/14. Without UMID and online, tickets are $24/$27.
