On December 4, Shmooze is going to be hosting an Ashkenazi food symposium featuring Zingerman's Zack Berg. The symposium will be held after Shabbat dinner in the Hillel lounge. Zack will be speaking about the evolution of Jewish cooking, emphasizing Ashkenazi cooking and how it has developed over time. We will also be looking at American Jewish cooking traditions. Naturally, we are going to have some delicious nosh (think Cholent, potato kugel, and many other traditional Ashkenazi items).
