Federal Bureau of Investigation: Director's Resource Planning Office

Are you interested in career opportunities at the world’s premier national security and law enforcement agency? The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is in search of highly motivated and talented candidates from a diversity of backgrounds who are interested in serving the Nation.

The mission of the FBI is to protect and defend the United States against terrorist and foreign intelligence threats, to uphold and enforce the criminal laws of the United States, and to support our law enforcement and national security partners, all while ensuring we preserve civil liberties. In order to effectively carry out this mission, the FBI employs thousands of professional staff in a variety of positions at FBI Headquarters in Washington, DC, and in field offices across the country.

The FBI conducts many mission-critical business functions. We have more than 30,000 employees, a budget in excess of $8 billion, and more than 700 locations worldwide. At the FBI, management and analysis professionals have the opportunity to utilize their skills to help protect the country. These functions include reviewing and analyzing information to make recommendations to management, and conducting research to identify and evaluate areas of improvement that have a direct impact on FBI operations. These professionals provide the resources, infrastructure, and services we need to be able to succeed in our mission.

Director’s Resource Planning Office:
The Director’s Resource Planning Office (RPO) takes a corporate approach to maximizing efficiency and effectiveness by managing and aligning strategic planning with financial and human resources, actionable performance measurement, and the management of internal policy. RPO works with all FBI Headquarters divisions, field offices, and executives in an effort to foster an environment in which cross-cutting organizational issues and priority topics are collaboratively discussed and addressed at all levels.

RPO employees come from a number of educational backgrounds. They work predominantly from FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C. and have the opportunity to:

 Collaborate with forward-thinking, innovative colleagues
 Be responsible for and lead various programs and projects
 Gain insight into every division and program in the FBI due to the high number of FBI-wide projects and programs run by RPO
 Produce reports and briefings which are used by FBI senior executives for decision-making
 Travel to field offices to conduct training or data collection
 Expand skill sets in project management, data collection and analysis, business communication, and presentation creation and delivery
 Make an impact on the efficiency and effectiveness of FBI business operations

Please join representatives from the FBI's Resource Planning Office on Monday November 2nd, 2015, at the Ford School Room 1210 to learn more about this opportunity.
