For those with some or no drawing experience, this fundamentals class focuses on drawing from observation. Subjects include Modern abstract sculpture, bronze dancers by Rodin, African art, and Thai Buddha and Indian Shiva figures. Become acquainted with these exquisite objects while developing a sense of proportion, perspective, line quality, value, composition, and personal style. Please bring HB, 2B, and 2H graphite pencils; an eraser; and an 11 x 14 inch sketchbook to the first meeting. All levels welcome.
