LSA Teaching Through the Flu Prep: Using Audacity with your Mac to Create a Podcast
A digital audio recording of your lecture, posted as a podcast, can enable your students to stay on track while they wait until they are fever-free for 24 hours before returning to class. There are two aspects to this process--how to make the podcast, and where to post it so your students can see it. This session will prepare you to use Audacity, a free Mac and PC application that enables one to record an audio file, convert it to mp3 format, and edit it if desired. We will also cover posting the file through CTools onto iTunesU, where your students can subscribe to receive your podcast posts. Digital audio recording solutions will also be presented for those who prefer a hardware solution to do the in-class capture.
