The Borodin Quintet, formed in September 2015, consists of violinists Hee-won Yoon and Susan Nourse, violist Izzy Dodard-Friedman, cellist Whit Froehlich, and pianist Yimin Chen. All members are students of the University of Michigan Medical School or School of Public Health. With awareness of the importance of music for wellness, the Borodin Quintet is dedicated to performing chamber music for patients and the community in a variety of venues. Currently, the Borodin Quintet is under the guidance of Professor Amy Cheng at the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre and Dance. This concert features a performance of the Brahms Piano Quintet.
