Each class session will focus specifically on a new technique and build on the previous sessions. Techniques include: Introduction to footwork and climbing technique; weight shifting and hip movement; fundamental footwork: foot switches and smearing; sit starts, mantles and one-armed mantles; back-stepping and flagging; sidepulls, underclings, slopers and crimpers; heel hooks; reading sequences and working problems. Summer sessions of this course will be four weeks long with topics tailored to student interest.
