Join Outdoor Adventures on a day trip hiking on the Island Lake Blue Loop Trail! We'll start at the Trailhead and then work our way over to the Placeway Picnic area to cook up a hot lunch. We'll also learn the basics to backpacking and Leave No Trace principles. After 9.3 miles on the blue loop, we'll see if we have time to do the 4 mile yellow loop. We'll have a relaxing and rejuvenating hike and take a break from the city life. We'll return refreshed and having enjoyed a bit of Michigan's spring weather and a local state park.
