Bio: Stephanie Rowley is a Professor of Psychology and Education. She currently chairs the Combined Program in Education and Psychology and is Associate Vice President for Research. Dr. Rowley studies self-concept development in adolescence and focuses on parental influences on children's development self-views. Much of her work includes African American samples.

Abstract: This talk will touch on the current state of research on populations of color and improvements in this body of work over the past 2 decades. It will also touch on common methodological issues and potential remedies.
