The Life Sciences Orchestra will kick off its 11th season of blending music and science with a virtual meeting at https://connect.umms.med.umich.edu/lso2010/ featuring music director Oriol Sans and members of the LSO committee. The orchestra is open to faculty, staff, graduate/professional students and alumni in the health and biological sciences, as well as some undergraduate students preparing for life science careers. The LSO's season will feature a Jan. 23 performance of Mahler's Symphony No. 2 ("Resurrection") at Hill Auditorium, with guest conductor Kenneth Kiesler. An audition and rehearsal schedule, and online audition signup sheet, are available at www.umich.edu/~lsorch. A chorus will be formed at a later time for the January performance. All prospective members of the orchestra and chorus must fill out a webform locate on the LSO web site.
