Sundaes on Tuesday Welcome for UM Women interested in Science and Engineering

Welcome to the University of Michigan!
Please join us for ice-cream sundaes and the inside scoop on how seasoned UM students in sciences, engineering and mathematics and related concentrations survived their freshman year and beyond!
Registration is required: http://ttc.iss.lsa.umich.edu/undergrad/sessions/sundaes16/
Questions: umwise@umich.edu, 734-615-4455
Your homework load– especially as a student interested in science,
math or engineering– is intense. Your exams will be rigorous. You’re
not in high school anymore! How do you manage all of this work and
stress, succeed in school and still manage to relax with your friends?
Find out from our panel of seasoned undergraduate women in science and
engineering how they managed it all! And learn about resource centers
on campus that are used by science, math and engineering students.
Bring your questions.
Some questions that panelists will address include :
–What are 2-3 good habits that have contributed to your success at
University of Michigan?
–What is something you wish you had done in your first year, but didn’t?
–What resource centers have you used on campus (SLC, LRC, Math Lab,
etc)? What was your experience using these centers?
• Representatives from the Science Learning Center, the Engineering Learning
Resource Center and the Women in Science and Engineering (WISE)
Program will give a brief overview of opportunities that may benefit
you.
• Make your own ice-cream sundae and take a tour of the Science
Learning Center.
Sponsored by the Women in Science and Engineering (WISE), the
Engineering Learning Resource Center, the Science Learning Center.
This event is open to any interested UM student.
