Michael Haithcock, conductor, Donald Sinta Saxophone Quartet. “All-American”. From American classics by George Gershswin and John Phillip Sousa to new works by current prize winning composers William Bolcom, Michael Daugherty, and Joseph Schwantner, the rich variety of American music merges with the virtuosity of the Symphony Band for an evening of musical fireworks worthy of the Fourth of July!

Pre-concert discussion at 7:15 in the lower lobby of Hill Auditorium featuring UM composers William Bolcom and Michael Daugherty who will discuss their works to be premiered this evening by the Symphony Band.
