Today’s creative composers and arrangers merge creative concepts from ancient China, and European masters with American traditions. UM alum Xiang Gao returns as featured soloist. Pre-concert discussion at 7:15 in the lower lobby of Hill Auditorium featuring UM composers Kristin Kuster and Bright Sheng who will discuss their works to be premiered this evening by the Symphony Band. Soloist Xiang Gao will also be present.
