Founded in 1880, the U-M School of Music, Theatre & Dance is consistently ranked among the top in the country when compared with performance-oriented conservatories or with prestigious academic departments of music. Students are prepared with expert skills, instilled with passionate enthusiasm, and emboldened to challenge and inspire the world through the power of the performing arts. This concert features solo strings music by students Nathan Bieber, Carmen Flesher, Diane Yang and Landon Oja, who study with Professor Stephen Shipps. They will play the Mozart Concerto, Schumann Concerto and Tchaikovsky Concerto, among others.
