Dining with Shakespeare
Sharing a Historical Lunch
The first session will be a power point presentation about diet and health during the Elizabethan age. Food references in Shakespeare's works will be cited as well as dining/banquet scenes which play an influential role in several plays. At the end of the first session, participants will choose an Elizabethan recipe to cook and bring the following week to share. All the recipes have been written using modern products. Not to worry. There are no recipes for stuffed peacock. This class for adults over 50 also meets on April 4th.
