José Zalaquett
José Zalaquett is one of Latin America's leading authorities on human rights. He has served on Chile's National Commission for Truth and Reconciliation, and from 2003-2004 he was President of the Inter-American Commission of Human Rights. He is a professor at the University of Chile School of Law, and co-director of its Human Rights Center.
Zalaquett will speak about accountability for human rights abuses, drawing significantly on his own experiences in a wide range of countries, including Chile, Uruguay, the Philippines, Uganda, South Africa, Yugoslavia, Morocco, and more.
