Pictorial Tapestries by Anna Kocherovsky
Russian-born tapestry artist Anna Kocherovsky draws inspiration for her handwoven works from reading and reflection, creating numerous drawings for each piece. She loves mythology and history, and the stories she enjoys often find their way into her work. Using a loom technique she learned in Moscow and imported wool yarns from Sweden, Kocherovsky keeps the tradition alive in Michigan where she has lived since 1989.
