AGENDA FOR THE TRIP:
- Arrive in DC on Monday, February 27th and connect with members of the UM Club of Washington DC alumni group at a Reception with free appetizers and soft drinks!
- Tuesday, February 28th 9:00am-11:00am: visit the National League of Cities and connect with members to learn about their Institute for Youth, Education, and Families as well as City Solutions and Applied Research
- Tuesday, February 28th 1:00pm-2:30pm: Visit Senator Gary Peter's office to hear from professionals through a panel discussion on Legislative Careers
- Tuesday, February 28th 2:30pm-3:30pm: Tour the Capitol building with Immersion attendees

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
This is a great opportunity for those interested in learning more about various roles in government and working in our nation's capitol. This Immersion will allow students to gain a better understanding of what the day in the life of these roles look like and if this is a potential career path they would be interested in.

HOW TO APPLY-
This application will open on January 30th and close on February 10th- please click 'join event' to fill out your application. However, apply early! We will be reviewing applications on a rolling basis and ifthere is a large interest in the event and we receive a large number of applications early on, the application may close early.

By applying for this Immersion, you are confirming your ability to attend this event should you be selected. Students will be notified if they have been selectedor have been placed on the waitlist at two weeks before the event. Pleasenote that students that have participated in PSIP will not be eligible for this opportunity.

Students must be able to attend the full Immersionprogram to participate. University Career Center staff will be along withyou on the Immersion to guide you through the events, and more details will be provided to the selected participants. This event is free for students, however, transportation and lodging are not provided.
