Chicago Spring Break: Bloomingdale's & Red Frog Events Immersion!

RED FROG EVENTS
Red Frog Events is an event production company and pioneer of the experiential entertainment industry, recognized for its award-winning company culture. Since 2007, the company has developed innovative brands including the Warrior Dash obstacle race series, Firefly Music Festival, and Chicago Beer Classic. Red Frog also provides event services ranging from food and beverage to its ticketing platform, EventSprout. Red Frog has been named one of Forbes’ “Most Promising Companies in America”, has appeared consecutively on Inc. AGENDA FOR THE TRIP:
- See the space: tour each organization, including Red Frog Event's captivating and casual work environment as well as Bloomingdale's flagship Chicago location, to get a feel for the work environment and culture of each company.
- Meet the people: learn about roles in each organization, such as special events, PR, visualmerchandising and more at Bloomingdale's. You'll also hear what it means to be a Red Frogger and learn about their various roles related to event management.
- Do the job: Engage in activities at each organization to getan inside look on what it's like to work in these roles day-to-day!

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
This is a great opportunity for students of all years that are interested in learning more about event management and roles related to fashion! Think you might be interested in events/the fashion industrywhen you graduate? Don't miss out on this opportunity to a sneak peek into both of these worlds!

WHY SHOULD YOU ATTEND:
- Network with employers in downtown Chicago to gain a better understanding of what these roles would look like at different companies
- Hear from professionals on the ins and outs of working in a major department store and what it takes to besuccessful in these roles
- Learn from professionals on how their team works together to make major events come to life
- Network with Chicago Alumni to hear what it's like to work and live in a major city

HOW TO APPLY-
This application will open on February 6th and close on February 17th - please click 'join event' to fill out your application. However, apply early! We will be reviewing applications on a rolling basis and if there is a large interest in the event and we receive a large number of applications early on, the application may close early.

By applying for this Immersion, you are confirming your ability to attend this event should you be selected. Students must be able to attend the full program to participate. University Career Center staff will be along with you on the Immersion to guide you through the day, and more details will be provided to the selected participants. Transportation will be provided for students to and from Chicago. Students are advised to bring a copy of their updated resume to the event.
