This conference provides a comparative perspective on the question of borders within and outside the continent of Africa. Bringing together specialists from diverse disciplines and fields within African studies, the conference will revisit questions of cultural production across borders, inside and outside the continent, and promote a sustained discussion on a comparative basis in order to probe the limits and possibilities of new approaches to global economy.
