The 53 British-cast bells of the Charles Baird Carillon weigh a total of 43 tons and have resounded across the campus and city since 1936. See and hear the bells, played by a professional carillonist at an organ-like keyboard and pedalboard, and learn about the extraordinary history of this instrument.

Guests should arrive at Burton Memorial Tower between 12-12:20 p.m. and take the elevator to the top of the tower, where they may watch Tiffany Ng as she plays the Charles Baird Carillon. Tiffany will greet guests for the tour at the conclusion of the Bicentennial Carillon Concert (approximately 12:30 p.m.).
