Doing Science... Anytime, Anyplace
Using Web and Mobile Technologies to Support Nomadic Inquiry between Science Classrooms and Museums
UM School of Education Associate Professor Christopher Quintana discusses the Zydeco system which helps expand scientific inquiry beyond the classroom and into museums, nature parks, etc. Such "nomadic inquiry" helps students incorporate a broader range of information and explore scientific questions. The system uses mobile devices and a web-based component to coordinate data and observations as students gather museum information "on-the- go."
