Summer Youth Employment Programs: Promising Policy, Opportunity Youth, Enhancements of Educational Outcomes and Collaborative Processes

Ms. Robinson will discuss the attributes of summer youth employment programs in several US Cities (Boston, MA; Philadelphia, PA; New York, NY; Chicago, IL and Hartford, CT) and highlight public sector system alignment; educational outcomes; and collaborative models predictive of success. Promising models for opportunity youth will be explored and highlights of Detroit's program (Grow Detroit's Young Talent) will be outlined.
