Student Presentations About Field Studies in East Africa

"Sustainability Challenges and Opportunities in East Africa." That's the overall subject of some extensive field research and coursework undergraduate and graduate students pursued at the Mpala Research Center and Wildlife Refuge in Kenya over the summer (through an initiative sponsored by PitE and the Graham Institute).

Undergraduate students who participated in the field studies will be talking about their Mpala experience at a student panel discussion titled "Field Lessons from Mpala: Society, Ecology, and Sustainability Views from Kenya's Laikipia Valley" on Thursday, October 28, 2010 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Dana Building (Room 1040).

All are welcome to come hear about what they learned–as well as about future opportunities to get involved. Food and refreshments will be served.
