This talk is part of the series Gender, Sexual and Reproductive Health: A Global Perspective. Dr Fenner's presentation will review the epidemiology, impact and pathophysiology of three major pelvic floor disorders: urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and fecal incontinence. An emphasis on birth and aging as contributing factors to these conditions will be highlighted. A description of preventative measures and treatments will be discussed.
