Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore Day Trip (Rain or Shine)
Miles of sand beach, lush forests, clear inland lakes, unique flora and fauna make up the natural world of Sleeping Bear Dunes. High dunes afford spectacular views across the lake. Join the International Center for a day trip to the Sleeping Bear Dunes. We will first stop at the Philip A. Hart Visitor Center and then drive to the Lake Michigan Overlook. Lastly, you will have the option of climbing the dunes or walking by the beach.
Cost
- Cost: $46 including transportation with a charter bus and the park pass. NO REFUNDS. You will need to bring money for snacks, souvenirs, etc. Students, scholars, friends, and families are welcome. Same price for all, regardless of age. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Registration: In order to reserve your spot for this trip, you must pay in advance at the Michigan Union Ticket Office (MUTO). Ask for the IC Sleeping Bear Dunes Trip. Cash or credit cards accepted. It is not possible to purchase tickets online. When making the payment at MUTO, you must present a valid UMID and provide a phone number (in case of emergency during the trip). Limited space is available and each person is allowed to purchase up to two tickets.
