The Activists
War, Peace, and Politics in the Streets
A documentary film that brings to life the stories of ordinary people who tried to stop and end the
U.S. wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. It considers their backgrounds, their tactics, the organizations
that supported them, and their historical context.
Following the film, Michael Heaney, the film’s producer and U-M Assistant Professor of
Organizational Studies and Political Science, will speak and lead a discussion with the audience.
