Lessons on Race and Culture from a Prison Classroom
Teaching Imprisoned High School Students
Instructor Judy Wenzel will share what she learned from her 25 years of teaching diverse groups of imprisoned high school students in this two hour session.
This study group for those 50 and above will discuss who society incarcerates, what these students learned or failed to learn in their former schools, why many dropped out, how to thrive in groups of widely varying backgrounds and experiences, and the importance of cultural identity.
