This study group will read and discuss Yuval Noah Harari’s New York Times bestseller, Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind. Sapiens describes human history starting from the Big Bang to the present. The history is divided into the Cognitive Revolution, the Agricultural Revolution, the Unification of Humankind, and the Scientific Revolution.
Harari boldly relates the total scientific evidence, including alternative possibilities. Sapiens integrates history and science to challenge everything we thought we knew about being human: our thoughts, our actions, our heritage . . . and our future.
Please read Part One for the first class.
Instructor Marlin Ristenbatt, a retired engineer and science enthusiast, will lead this study group for those 50 and above for two hours each Tuesday from October 4 through November 5.
