In this role, she coordinates programming for the Center for Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies (CREES) and the Copernicus Program in Polish Studies (CPPS). An alumna of U-M, Liz holds an MA in Russian and East European Studies and wrote her thesis on ethnic minorities in the Moscow labor market. Liz began studying Russian language, history, and politics at Carleton College in Minnesota, where she received a BA in history. Between her undergraduate and graduate programs she lived in Vladimir, Russia, for two years where she studied at Vladimir State Pedagogical University and taught English at the American Home. Liz was also a member of the US-Russia Social Expertise Exchange working group on migration for several years and continues to follow contemporary social issues throughout Eurasia.
