Professional sport leagues and teams in the United States are engaging with their communities in new and different ways. This presentation will showcase how professional sport is working to promote community development, health, and wellness, and environmental sustainability. Professor Heinze will discuss types of partnerships between teams and community organizations, and provide examples and will reflect on challenges, limitations, and future directions of community engagement in professional sport.
