The U-M Papyrus Collection contains many texts from the ancient world of Egypt: the preserved works of literature, private letters, government records, tax accounts, and the occasional shopping list. Taken together, these texts provide an intimate look into daily life in the ancient world. In this presentation, Professor Verhoogt will discuss some of the documents from the collection.
