Title: Online Stochastic Optimization of the Scheduling of a Radiotherapy Center
Abstract: We propose an online stochastic framework (based on Benders and Dantzig-Wolfe decompositions) and illustrate this method on the scheduling of a Radiotherapy Center. Radiotherapy centers can improve their efficiency by optimizing the utilization of the linear accelerators. We schedule patients on such machines taking into account their priority, their maximum waiting time, and the preparation of their treatment (dosimetry). This approach ensures the beginning of the treatment on time and thus avoids the cancellation of treatment sessions.
